Infrared reception and transmission?

Hi I wonder why I cant charge my mobile battery with
INCOMING: INFRARED beam from the sun?
Why would the infrared port work only with a infrared receptor? Since the sun is the origin of all INFRARED (i.R.) and ULTRA VIOLET (u/v) method for concave/convex lens f focus r radius of curvature, why cant I just point a mobile at the sun and be able to send and receive data through IR through the SUN because the SUN sees everywhere on the earth, if the SUN does not see it then it is black hole B.

If you used a Solar Panel to receive the rays from the Sun, the output cable could go through a suitable voltage regulator to the automobile charge cord of your mobile cell phone or radio.

For transmitting, your mobile already has a suitable transmitter that is arranged to communicate with local cell phone or radio towers in your locality for placing calls to other cell phones or land line telephones.

Utilization of some form of ultraviolet beam to transmit data or voice is an interesting and feasible idea, but highly limited in functionality due to the lack of suitable ultraviolet receivers and related equipment in your general area. Ultraviolet radiation is limited to line of sight distances and interferred with by buildings, trees, automobiles, aircraft, mountains, fog, snow, rain, etc. The best use of UV light links I have seen have been installed where it was necessary to link two buildings together for communications, and the total bandwith required was not to great. Suitable devices to establish links like that already exist on the market and work quite well.

IR or UV links cannot be used when one (or the other) receiving lens must point in an azimuth and elevation, which would make them look at the Sun during some part of the day, to set up the link. No problems would be apparent if the receive lenses could be oriented north or south to link up.
