Im looking for a camera that takes great pictues. fine quality?

im no pro when it comes to camera. but im buying a camera and i specifically wanty a camera that takes fine pictures. what should i look for? im not to big on wide angles and all that fancy stuff. all im looking for is to take a picture and the picture comes out so fine that it looks like your actually there. i prefer a cannon camera.

any suggestions?

im looking for one around 500$ (preferably lower) but im open for anything
