Cap Pinhole Lens
PINHOLE camera…what can I do to make it work?

I am using a smaller box 4″ x 5″(about) and my pinholes are made out of aluminum tape. There is a hole next to it to fit my camera lens in. My camera is a Canon Powershot SD450. A screen made out of white paper is at the back of the box. The exterior is covered with aluminum tape. I am using natural light. I am taking pixs of a USAF 1951 chart. All that shows up on the camera screen is the white screen NOT the picture of the USAF 1951 camera testing chart. WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE IT WORK???? Please explain in details!!!

The instructions say you need a camera capable of taking long controlled exposures.
Make sure that your camera is in the manual mode and try different exposure times. The white screen means total overexposure to me. What value are you getting for highlights in your histogram?
That is a small box. You will probably want to put it in Macro Mode. Is your focus good? Is there an image to focus on?
