Problem with my Canon EOS 30D?

hey everyone, I’m not sure why, but my Canon 30D has not been taking photos at its normal shutter speed. Even when I try to manually make the shutter speed higher, it still close slowly (sometimes to the point that the whole photo is a blur because it took over a second to close). I wanted to do a stop-motion video of a day trip and it was not possible because the camera would not snap photos at a quick enough rate. Does anybody have any ideas as to why the camera is not taking pictures at its normal speed? Could something be broken/need fixed? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Some of the following you need to clean up and must maintains;
1. the lens contacts and lens mounting and body lens hub,
2. the shutter-bug mechanism should not be clean by any object except manual hand blower (internal),
3. the hand shutter button need to remove dust,
4. both the lens must be kept in dry-box if are not in use, after clean-up.
5. the memory slot must be blow clean, remove the memory card when you are not in use.(against static buildup)
6. Battery must remove when not in use. (prevent battery depreciating and static buildup)
7. If your are using the power grip, unsure that you must remove those batteries.

If all these points you have already observe and well kept, and still cannot resolve the issue, please send camera back to Canon service centre for a deep diagnostic check.
